Tim Doane serves as a senior associate athletic director at Villanova, joining the staff in September of 2025. In addition to his role as the associate AD for health and performance, Doane will function as the Athletics Health Care Administrator.
Originally from Merrick, New York, Doane spent over 25 years at Lehigh University (1997-2004 and 2006-2025), working his way from assistant athletic trainer to an assistant AD who oversaw all aspects of the sports medicine operation.Â
Prior to his most recent stint at Lehigh, Tim worked as a high school athletic trainer at Liberty High School (Bethlehem, Pa.), a graduate assistant at the University of Connecticut and a New York Jets seasonal training intern. He's also spent time as the chair of the Patriot League AT committee and served multiple roles with the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society
Doane earned a Bachelor of Science at Springfield College in 1994 before completing an MA in education with a concentration in sport biomechanics at UConn in 1997.
Doane and his wife Jen have been married since 1999 and have two children: Ethan and Josh. Tim resides in Bethlehem, Pa., and his hobbies include golf, woodworking, photography, music composition and playing piano & guitar.
