Taryn Nichols serves as the assistant director of the Office of Academic Support for Athletics, a position she's held since 2021. Nichols is the primary academic contact for baseball, field hockey, men's & women's lacrosse and women's soccer.
Nichols has been at Villanova since August of 2012, starting out as an academic support intern in OAS before transitioning into an academic advisor for the Villanova School of Business and returning to the athletic department as an athletics academic advisor in 2017.
Prior to her time at VU, Nichols functioned as a compliance intern at Indiana University Athletics, where she evaluated transcripts of prospective student-athlets to determine eligibility.
Nichols earned a Bachelor's degree in Sport & Recreation Management from Temple University in 2012, serving as a four-year letterwinner and team captain for field hockey. She went on to complete a Master's in Higher Education from Drexel University in 2014, achieving a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Taryn lives in Ardmore, Pa., with her husband Jon and sons Quinn and Miles, plus their dog Teddy and two cats. Nichols describes herself as an "avid and irrational sports fan, especially when it comes to the Green Bay Packers."
