Sofie Rieder serves an athletics development officer at Villanova, beginning the role in August 2025. Rieder joined VU in the summer of 2024, functioning as the ticket office intern for the 2024-25 year before being hired to the full-time VAF staff.
Previously, Rieder served internships with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs minor league baseball team and Georgetown athletic communications office. Rieder also worked The Masters in April of 2024 as a headgear sales attendant.
Rieder completed a bachelor's at James Madison University in sports and recreation management in May 2024, earning minors in general business and French. In Harrisonburg, Rieder served as the secondary marketing contact for JMU volleyball in addition to involvement in club tennis.
