Jenn Brophy

Jenn Brophy joined the Office of Academic Support for Athletics in 2008 and is currently the Director of Academic Support. In this role, Brophy leads and oversees all aspects of the Office of Academic Support for Athletics to provide supplemental academic support for all varsity student-athletes in a manner that addresses their unique academic needs.

She previously served as Assistant Director and then Associate Director before being promoted to her current title in 2016. Brophy has been instrumental in increasing the services offered to student-athletes during her time at Villanova and has helped continue the tradition of academic excellence for Wildcats student-athletes. 
 
Brophy has also been involved in the greater campus community and has served on several University committees, including the University Retention Committee, the Athletic Advisory Committee, ADIT and Athletic Title IX. She attended the University of Michigan National Intergroup Dialogue Institute in 2012 on behalf of Villanova and is an instructor for the IGR courses offered through the Communication department. Brophy is also an instructor for the Leadership Learning Communities and recently began to work with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to instruct their Professional Development courses.
 
Professionally, Brophy is a member of the National Association for Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA), National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and is actively involved with the NCAA and BIG EAST Conference.
 
A 2004 graduate of Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Brophy went on to earn her Master of Education degree in Sport and Recreation Administration from Temple in 2007. While at Temple, she interned at Saint Joseph’s with the Office of Academic Support for Student-Athletes and later completed an internship with the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs where she worked with Athlete Services and the Operations Department. Before coming to Villanova, Brophy worked as the Academic Coordinator for Varsity Athletics at Loyola College in Maryland.
 
Brophy and her husband Kyle reside in Broomall, Pa. with their daughter Kylee and son Colin.
