Career: Serves a valuable role as a reserve catcher for the Wildcats … Has appeared in 28 games with 13 starts in her first two seasons … Member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team as a freshman with an AD's Honor Roll selection in the spring semester.

2025: Played in 20 games during her sophomore season … Started 11 games behind the plate as Villanova's second string catcher … Made 53 putouts with just one error on the campaign … Worked the first walk of her career in an upset win at No. 25 Florida Atlantic … Totaled a two-hit day against No. 15 Virginia Tech with her first career home run, powering the 'Cats to victory on a grand slam … Appeared as a defensive replacement for Villanova in the BIG EAST Tournament game against Providence.

2024: Played in eight games with six at bats during her first year … Made her collegiate debut with a pinch-hit appearance against Alabama … Registered her first career putouts with a pair of them against Georgia Southern … Made her first career start against Lehigh, recording a pair of putouts … Started behind the dish at Penn with a season-best three putouts for the Wildcats.

Personal: Born 1/22/05 in Saratoga Springs, New York … Youngest of two children of Brian and Christine Waghorn … Younger sister of Haley, who played softball at Saint Michael's College … Enjoys watching sports and reading in her spare time … Chose to attend Villanova because "I loved the coaching staff and fell in love with the school as soon as I stepped on campus" … Noted the combination of high academics and athletics as a draw to VU ... Majoring in communication.
