Excelled in the 400 meter hurdles as a sophomore in 2026 and recorded multiple PRs during the season, including in the final at the BIG EAST Championships when he ran 53.48 to claim a sixth place finish and his first career top-eight individual finish at the conference meet ... As a freshman in 2025 he earned All-BIG EAST bronze medals as part of the 4x400 meter relay both indoors and outdoors ... His split of 47.40 on the third leg of the relay outdoors was the Wildcats fastest in the race, and the team's finishing time of 3:09.25 was Villanova's fastest 4x400 relay in 14 years ... Has competed at the BIG EAST Championships in the 400 meters both indoors and outdoors in addition to the 400 meter hurdles ... Was his high school's record holder in the 300 meter hurdles as a scholastic athlete ... Named to the 2024-25 BIG EAST All-Academic Team and was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for both the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.

BEFORE VILLANOVA

Beavercreek High School: Earned four varsity letters in track & field and three in basketball as a shooting guard during his scholastic career … Was an Ohio state champion as a senior and a New Balance All-American his junior year … Two-time All-Ohio performer as a junior … Set school records in the 300 meter hurdles (38.06) as well as in the 4x100 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay … Named an AP Scholar with Distinction as a senior and an AP Scholar with Honor as a junior … Was a PSAT Commended Student his junior year and an OHSAA Basketball Academic All-Ohio selection as a senior.
 
Personal: Born 6/24/06 … One of two children of Kevin Gluck and Julie Thurn … Has an older sister, Ashtyn … Comes from an athletic family with both parents and his sister competing in the collegiate ranks … Father was a swimmer at Trinity and mother played basketball at IUP … Ashtyn is a member of the track & field and cross country teams at Grand Valley State … Chose to attend Villanova because he loved the school’s atmosphere and culture … Noted that it was the perfect school for him with its mix of amazing academics and competitive athletics … Chemical Engineering major.
