A newcomer to the staff this season is Shane Brady who will serve as a defensive assistant for the Wildcats.He arrives at Villanova from Muhlenberg College where he served as an assistant coach in charge of the inside linebackers.

Brady was a three-year letterwinner at Lafayette College as a defensive back. In 2013, he was a member of the Leopard team that captured the Patriot League championship and earned a spot in the NCAA playoffs.

After graduating from Lafayette in 2014, Brady played one season as a graduate student at East Stroudsburg University. Following his one year on the field, Brady was an assistant coach at East Stroudsburg in the spring of 2015.

Brady played his high school ball at LaSalle College High School where he was a member of the 2009 AAAA state championship team. During his LaSalle career, Brady was a two-time winner of the Tex Flannery Award which is given to the Philadelphia Catholic League Student-Athlete of the Year.

He is single and resides in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
