NORMAN, Okla. – For the 12th straight year, Villanova golf got it done in the classroom to earn academic honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America.
A sixth straight season was capped with a Presidents Special Recognition accolade, granted to the 'Cats for maintaining a team GPA above a 3.5 for the 2024-25 academic year.
Three Wildcats picked up All-America Scholar honors, the second career laurel for both Jackson Lehner and Ryan Pamer while Matt Zerfass received his first mention on the list.
Multiple VU golfers on the list means five straight years with two or more Wildcats earning the accolade, which is achieved by maintaining a stroke average below 76 and a GPA over 3.2 in addition to participating in more than 50% of the team's rounds.
Villanova will begin its 2025-26 campaign in a little over a month, starting play of the fall season with a revisit to Hamilton, N.Y., for Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial.
