Ajanae Thompson (Rahway, N.J.) competed in the preliminary heats of the 100 meter hurdles while seniors
Taylor Woodeshick (Nescopeck, Pa.) and
Faith Haught (Payson, Ariz.) were in action in the college sections of the high jump and the discus, respectively.
Thompson had a strong race in the hurdles and posted a time of 13.76 in the third of four heats. She came in fifth in her heat but was ranked 12
th overall out of 29 competitors and narrowly missed qualifying for Saturday's final. Thompson tallied her second fastest time of the year a week after she took over the season's BIG EAST lead with a time of 13.60.
Each of the Wildcats field events took place later in the afternoon, with Woodeshick clearing the bar at 1.60 meters and Haught throwing 38.40 meters in the discus.
