VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova wrapped up the fall semester at the Toyota U.S. Open and the Collegiate 5K Championships this past week.
Anna Kilponen and
Justin Nowicki competed at the Toyota U.S. Open from Dec. 3–6 in Austin, Texas. Nowicki earned a spot in the B final of the 400 IM, while Kilponen qualified for the C final of the 100 Fly.
Kilponen placed fifth in the C final with a time of 1:01.36. Nowicki finished sixth in the B final in 4:25.07.

Brady Tierney and
Patrick Casey represented Villanova on Dec. 13 at the CSCAA Open Water Championship in Sarasota, Fla.
The women's team earned a runner-up finish in the 5K Open Water Swim.
Marlene Blanke led the Wildcats with a third place showing in 58:31.1, followed by
Riley Hull in sixth (58:39.2),
Peri Gaguzis in 11th (59:21.5) and
Katie White in 12th (59:23.4).
Villanova swimming and diving returns to the pool Jan. 6–7, when the Wildcats face Florida State and the University of North Florida.
