NEW YORK, N.Y.—A quartet of Villanova sprinters were in action at the Scarlet Knight Open which got started at The Armory on Friday afternoon. Freshman Matthew Griffin (Whippany, N.J.) led the contingent of Wildcats with a time of 50.68 in his race.
 
Griffin placed 15^th overall in a field of 50 runners. The other finishers for Villanova included sophomore Ronan O'Neill (Wilmette, Ill.) with a time of 50.81, sophomore Sal Barretta (Whitestone, N.Y.) crossing the line in 51.13 and senior William Seijas (Shrewsbury, N.J.) posting a time of 52.00.
 
The meet concludes on Saturday when the Wildcats will have entries in the 60 meters and the 200 meters.
