Wildcats Fall in Big East Contest

Chestnut Hill, Mass. --- The Villanova men's tennis team fell Saturday to the host Eagles of Boston College by a match score of 1-6. The indoor match was only the `Cats second Big East match of the season. The Wildcats now stands at 8-7 overall on the year and 0-2 in conference play.

Recording the lone victory on the afternoon for Villanova was senior Josh Schofield (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton). Schofield needed just two sets to get by the Eagles' Jason Cowett at second singles, 6-3 and 6-4.

The team gets back into action on Tuesday, April 10th when they host Big East rival St. John's University at 3:00 pm at the Villanova Tennis Complex.
