Bethlehem, PA- Traveling to Bethlehem, Pa., on Saturday, March 11, the Villanova men's lacrosse team posted its first win of the 2000 season. The Wildcats defeated Lehigh by the score of 11-9, to improve to 1-2 overall on the year. The Villanova win also handed the Mountain Hawks their first loss of the season, as they drop to 3-1.

The Wildcats jumped out to a hot start, leading 4-1 after one period. Lehigh battled back, however, to tie the game up at 8-8, heading into the fourth and final period. In the last period, Villanova picked up where they left off in the first quarter, as the Wildcat offense outscored the Mountain Hawks 3-1, en route to the 11-9 win.

Villanova will get back into action on Wednesday, March 15, hosting the Lafayette Leopards at 7:00 p.m.
