In its second match in as many days, the Villanova men's tennis team traveled to College Park, Md., on Sunday, February 21, only to lose to the University of Maryland 4-3. With the loss, the Wildcats' record falls to 3-3 on the season.
In No. 3 singles, Paul Moore won for the second consecutive day, beating K. Cesminaka of the Terrapins 6-2 and 6-2. Posting a win in No. 6 singles, was Josh Schofield, who defeated D. Kenshalo 7-5 and 2-1 in the second set by default.
Villanova took two out of the three doubles matches on the day. In No. 2 doubles, Stephen Smith and A.J. Rohde defeated Cesminaka and Neuyed of Maryland 9-8. Winning as well for the Wildcats was Schofield and Ramon Prats in No. 3 doubles, over Kenshalo and Legat 8-4. Here is a list of all of the day's events:
